PHILOSOPHY
At Pups-A-Daisy, we believe a happy, healthy pup thrives when their needs are met physically, mentally, and emotionally. That’s why our TRAINING and ENRICHMENT daycare program is built on positive reinforcement, structured play, restful downtime, and—most importantly—LOTS of fun!
Our space is carefully designed to support every kind of pup personality. Inside, you’ll find a non-slip play zone with agility and obstacle courses, cozy beds, loungers, and blankets, plus quiet kennels and shareable toys like tug-of-war ropes. For our smaller or more reserved pups, we offer a special “Quiet Pup Room” where they can relax away from the high-energy crowd. Outside, pups enjoy their own playground complete with a jungle gym stage, shady pergola, pup pools, sprinklers, and soft turf perfect for wrestling and romping.
We also keep our handler-to-dog ratio low—never more than 14–16 dogs per handler—because human interaction and close observation matter. This ensures every pup gets the attention, care, and supervision they deserve while making the most of their daycare adventure.
TRAINING & ENRICHMENT
All of our daycare pups take part in our routine “Manners Maintenance” program—a daily practice that reinforces good behavior through encouragement, expectation, and reward. Throughout their day, pups are guided to focus, sit, stay, heel, lie down, and wait during activities, helping them stay sharp and consistent with their training.
Examples of Manners Maintenance include:
- Sitting and waiting at closed doors until given the command to proceed
- Practicing sit, stay, and eye contact during play to strengthen recall and focus
- Maintaining clear indoor/outdoor bathroom habits to prevent regression in house training
In addition to training, our pups enjoy a variety of enrichment activities designed to engage their minds, senses, and emotions. Each day, we structure play to include one activity from each category—sensory stimulation, mental challenges, and emotional connection—rotating them regularly to keep pups both challenged and fulfilled.

- Double gate transition zones (much like you see at dog parks)

- Interior AC and low-e window tinting for those hot Seattle summer days
- Required harnesses for secure and proper handling
- Harness coding tags for pups with special requirements/focuses
- Structured protocol for transition between indoor/outdoor space

- Security cameras on all dogs zones, offering pet parent viewing
- Segregated quarantine kennels for separation of ill pups
- Daily sanitation of all facility areas
